Email Idea of the Week:

The Problem vs Solution Email (with a twist)

This campaign idea is one of the oldest marketing tactics in the books.

A problem vs. solution email directly addresses a common issue or pain point experienced by your audience. (It’s important to dig deep here, don’t gloss over the problem that they are facing.)

Then the email presents your product(s) as the ideal solution to that problem.

Why It Works

  • It Builds Trust and Relevance: People don’t want to be sold to. They want to be understood and then helped. Being able to relate to the their pain points is powerful.

  • Its Engaging: This email naturally causing the reader to think about their problems and see themselves facing them, which reignites the desire to solve it. (through buying from you)

  • Its Converts: By directly linking your product(s) to a solution for the problem you made them think of, you’ve effectively motivated them to purchase. Because the decision to buy becomes synonymous with solving a current problem. (its human nature to solve our problems

The Secret Twist !?!

In the EMAIL sent by Manukora, they do something especially effective. Instead of talking about how great their products are and how well they solve the problem.

They instead use customer reviews that specially relate to the problem they imposed in the beginning of the email.

Your customers words will always be more impactful than your own words. (Consumer skepticism is at an all time high)
