What, Why, and How to set this up for yourself

In today's newsletter, we are going to over:

Actionable Tip Of The Day - Do this for you brand

VIP FLOWS

Most brands undervalue the power of a VIP specific flow. This is a flow that is triggered when someone buys X amount of times or has spent $X with your brand.

These your most LOYAL customers and most brands do them a disservice by talking to them the same as a first time buyer or worse…a non buyer.

You should have a whole flow dedicated to these customers only where you

  • Give a heart felt thank You

  • Show them the benefits of being a VIP member

  • Gamify increased LTV by overing incentives for further purchases (think of the punch card you keep in your car so you get your 10th coffee for free)

Why’s It Matter

Here are some stats for you

  1. Repeat customers tend to spend more on average. Research indicates that repeat customers spend 67% more than new customers.

  2. Increasing customer retention rates by just 5% can boost profits by 25-95% across different industries.

  3. It's estimated that the cost of acquiring a new customer is 5-25x higher than the cost of retaining an existing one.

If those numbers don’t make you rethink your customers post purchase journey I don’t know what will.

How To Set This Up For Your Brand

  1. Create a new post purchase flow from scratch

  2. Your flow trigger will be “Placed Order in Shopify”

  3. Add a “Profile Filter” to the flow trigger with your parameters for VIP customers. Ex “Placed an order is at least 4 over all time”

  4. Create at lest 4 emails for this flow

    1. Email #1 → Welcome to the VIP Club + VIP Benefits

    2. Email #2 → From the Founder Plain Text Message

    3. Email #3 → How to save big on your next purchase

    4. Email #4 → Explain your VIP tiers
